OLD CABIN
The camp's original 1934 log cabin, built by the Morristown Rotary, to be restored to its original look and become a multi-purpose cabin.
PROPOSAL
Troop Cabin- Six troop cabins, built on pilings, will house up to 16 campers. Each cabin will have heat, 2 toilets, 2 sinks; and include a small refrigerator and stove. One cabin is handicapped accessible.


Troop House- The troop house, constructed on pilings, will sleep up to 40 campers. This heated log cabin features a kitcheonette for troop use, and has 4 showers, toilets and sinks. Handicapped accessible. Primarily used for troop camping in Fall, Winter and Spring. Summer use as for day camp activities.


Small Shelters- Situated next to each troop cabin is a small shelter on dirt floor for cooking and crafts in troop camping. Summer use as a unit site.


Large Shelter- A 48' shelter will serve day camp for programs and inclement weather activities. Wood floor. Handicapped accessible. COMPLETED


Showerhouse- A showerhouse will provide 3 showers, 3 toilets and 3 sinks for bathers as well as changing cubicles and open change area. Cabin will also house aquatics office, bathroom, storage area and mechanical room.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS

Camp Road will be widened in areas to provide two cars passage. Road will be unpaved. For security, the camp road will be gated at each fork. COMPLETED

Parking Lot will be expanded from 35-car capacity to 50-car capacity. Two paved spots for handicapped access. COMPLETED

Wafer Hill a troop cabin built in 1967, will become an environmental center. Latrine replaced with composting toilet.

Fingarr Lodge built in 1961, no change except latrine replaced with composting toilets.

Swimming Pool The camp swimming pools, built in 1968 and 1971, are in disrepair and will be filled in and replaced with one pool. COMPLETED

Activity Field The activity field will be enlarged and will cover the site of the original pools.
