Hospital Projects
|
Project:
The American Red Cross plays
a crucial role at the Veteran's Hospital
in Lyons, New Jersey every day. There
are about 600 veterans at the hospital
and Red Cross volunteers are responsible
for coordinating birthday gifts for
them. Troops or girls can pick one of
the following activities:
Collect new white socks, knit hats,
gloves and or sweatshirts. Items should
be new and in large or extra large;
Create birthday cards. Girls should
sign their first name only, but do not
include addresses or phone numbers;
Make
grooming kits that include shampoo,
toothpaste, soap, lotion, and toilet
water, or scissors. Grooming bags can
be as simple as decorated lunch bags
or plastic "zip lock" bags.
Drop
off collected items at either 29 Elm
Street, Morristown, NJ 07960 or 115
Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
