Reading Rocks!

QSP is our new and renewal magazine subscription sale conducted in the Fall. In addition to subscriptions, books, CDs and tapes are also available. Troops earn 10% of their gross sales. Troops can also provide address labels for out-of-town relatives and earn thirty cents per label.

Reader" Activity Project

"Be A Reader" is a program developed by QSP, to encourage girls from Daisy Girl Scouts right up to Senior Girl Scouts to experience the fun and joy of reading.

QSP presentation for Service Unit QSP Managers and Service Unit Managers at MAGSC SUM meeting.
10/4/06

QSP Training for Service Unit QSP Managers and Service Unit Managers 9:30- 11 am. or 6:30-8:30 p.m. at HUB office.
12/12/06

Service Unit QSP orders and payment due to MAGSC.
STEP 1 -TROOP AND GIRL AWARDS

Troops earn 10% of total troop sales.

Girls take new orders or renew subscriptions for families and friends using the "QSP" packet. This is not a door to door sale. Daisy Girl Scouts do not participate.
       
1 Sale Award = Patch
5 Sales Award = Changing Light or Photo Album
9 Sales Award = Music or Book Certificate or
Jewelry Box
13 Sales Award = Black Bear Backpack or
T- Shirt

Patches are cumulative!

For every Reader's Digest subscription sold, a girl will earn an FM Scan Radio/Calculator.
 
STEP 2 - ADDRESS LABEL PROGRAM
Girls provide the names and addresses of out-of-area friends and family. QSP mails the completed label postcards directly to them. NEW PROCEDURE! This year, QSP will do a second label postcard mailing to these potential customers. Just an additional reminder? Labels will be discarded then.
* Troops can earn 30 cents for every address label submitted.  
* When an individual girl turns in 7 or more address labels, she earns an Invisible Ink Pen.
REMEMBER: Step 2 is a bonus program available only to troops participating in Step 1.
